Annual President’s Letter
Dear Penn-York Lumbermen’s Club Members,
It is hard to believe that 2023 saw my seven-year tenure on your elected board come to an end. I am especially grateful to have served as your President the last two years, which was such a positive experience for me. Through our meetings and golf outings, I was fortunate to meet many great people, developing strong friendships and business relationships.
The Penn-York Lumbermen’s Club is a social club that gives much to the industry. The purpose of the club is to promote social relationships among its members, common business interests of the industry, efficient manufacturing methods, support legislation on key issues, and free and open exchange of ideas.
Last year, we hosted six beneficial meetings and gave back to all segments of the hardwood industry.
I am pleased to announce that in 2023 we made the following positive strides:
The Penn-York Board of Directors is made up of a group of industry leaders serving in volunteer positions. I would like to thank all of those serving, including Bruce Horner, Randy Flament, Greg Fitzpatrick, Trevor Vaughan, Jack Monnoyer, Jordan McIlvain, and a special thank you to Vice President Greg Ochs and Treasurer Rob Matson.
I want to acknowledge and welcome our incoming leadership team, including our new President, Greg Ochs, Vice President, Rob Matson, and Treasurer, Jeff Dougherty. I step aside knowing the future is bright with these individuals leading our Club!
We will be hosting eight meetings in 2024, starting in Watkins Glen, NY (host Wagner Lumber) on Jan 15, 2024.
Please visit our meetings page for a list of all our 2024 meetings.
On behalf of the entire Board, I thank you for your continued support and we wish all of you a prosperous 2024!
In closing, I would like to thank each of you for the trust you placed in me and for giving me the opportunity to serve as your President.
Sincerely,
Jesse W. LaSon
